Process and QC

We close the body with hand glue in two passes, then finish the deck by hand.

02The body

Two passes of hand glue close the body.

We close the body with hand glue in two passes, then finish the deck by hand. It is a slower build than a fully welded shell, and it is the one we run.

03Heat weld

The welder runs on fittings, not on the body.

Our heat welder runs on D-ring pads, paddle clips, handle bases and fin boxes. The board body itself does not go through it.

04QC flow

Sixty hours between the last seam and the box.

Every seam gets a 100% soap spray test, then 24 hours of rest for a second check. Deck work adds 24 hours of curing, and packing waits another 12.
